The continuation details what is necessary to begin implementing the project.
Note: If you need to create a profile and Business Manager from scratch, follow the recommendation that appears below to create assets with a period of time between them. For example:
Day one: Create your profile and complete the information.
Day two: Create your Business Manager and connect your resources, like Instagram and your Facebook page, and add a new Administrator.
Finally, start the business verification process.
Day three: Connect your WhatsApp account to the Darwin Accounts channel.
Let's analyze the details of the process.
1. Authentic Facebook profile
If you have an incomplete profile, you need to create one from scratch, make sure you complete details such as name, location, photo, age, add friends, publish something and follow pages that interest you.
This helps Meta to recognize that these are real actions and avoid restrictions by being a new profile on the platform.
2. Business Manager
If you have a Business Manager available without using it or need to create one from scratch, make sure you follow the following sequence of actions:
Invite another Facebook profile to become a Business Manager administrator.
Connect your Facebook page or Instagram account, or create an advertising account.
Complete your company details in the Business Information section.
Note: If you have a previously created Business Manager profile but have not used it, prioritize its use.
3. Business verification process
Make sure you have completed all company data on the Business Information page within your Business Manager.
On this same page, search for:
Verification status of the company;
Click on View details.
Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the blue Start Scan button.
After completing all the data and following the steps, select the My company is not listed option to manually upload an official document that contains:
Company tax ID.
Name and corporate name of the company.
Address and telephone number of the company.
Consult the list of documents accepted in the official Meta article by clicking here.
Note: Your company name on your website must be related to your company name to increase the chances that WhatsApp will detect your display name.
4. Payment Method
We recommend using a credit card as the default payment method for your WhatsApp account. Make sure you follow this:
The credit card must be active.
The card issuer must not block transactions under the Facebook/Meta name.
Note: There is only one exception for cards not accepted by the platform for payments for sending messages via WhatsApp: the American Express card.
If your Business Manager has a line of credit available (subject to eligibility by Meta criteria), it is possible to use it as a payment method for your WhatsApp Account.
The payment method can be entered during channel setup or later. If you choose the second option, see the step-by-step instructions here to add the payment method natively through Business Manager.

5. Channel Connection
We recommend connecting via the official WhatsApp API, which requires that the phone number is not linked to the WhatsApp Business application.
Next, we explain how the channel connection works:
During the meeting to connect the channel, the Business Manager administrator must be present.
