Visualization of the Artificial Intelligence Reasoning

In this guide, you’ll learn how to view, inside Darwin, the reasoning and decisions the AI takes for each response. This helps you better understand why it answers the way it does and how it uses the available tools.

Step 1: Enter the conversation

1. In the side menu, go to the "Conversations" section.

2. Find and select the conversation you want to analyze.

Step 2: Open the conversation reasoning

1. Once inside the conversation, go to the upper-right corner.

2. Click on the three-dot icon.

3. In the dropdown menu, select the option "View reasoning for this conversation."

Step 3: Explore the reasoning and tool usage

1. After enabling this option, within the conversation you’ll be able to see, for each AI response:

- The reasoning it followed to generate that response.

- The decisions it made along the way.

2. You will also be able to see:

- Which tools it used (for example, integrations or external functions).

- At what moment each tool was used.

- What information each tool returned and how the AI used it to build the final answer.

This way, you can audit and clearly understand the internal workings of the AI, identify possible improvements in the flows, and confirm that it’s using the configured tools correctly.
