1. Before you begin

To activate the SMS channel, you need to have an active number in Twilio. This will be the number from which messages are sent and received within the platform.

2. Check the configuration in Twilio

Log in to your Twilio account and verify whether the webhook is already configured.

• If the webhook is not configured, add the URL that connects Twilio with Darwin.

This step is essential to ensure that messages can be sent and received correctly.

3. Create the SMS channel in Darwin

Then, go back to the Darwin dashboard and select the option to create a new SMS channel.

• Connect the number you previously set up in Twilio.

• Save the changes to complete the integration.

4. Test the channel

To confirm everything works correctly, send a test message such as “hola”.

Then, check the conversations section in Darwin to verify that the message was received successfully.

5. Done — the SMS channel is active

From this moment on, you will be able to communicate with your contacts directly by SMS in an integrated, fast, and centralized way from the platform.
